Violet Willow (Salix Daphnoides)
The willow we grow at Lask Edge Farm, which we use to produce our willow topiary, is a variety called Salix Daphnoides, commonly referred to as Violet Willow, a type of Pussy Willow.
The lustrous violet young shoots produce attractive topiary plants, and the silvery fluffy catkins that appear in the springtime not only give a great effect against the bright violet stems, but they also provide a source of early spring nectar to bees.
